Denver, CO – On October 18, 2025, Denver will host the world premiere of Jazz in the City<\/em>, a bold new concert series that blends world-class live performance, state-of-the-art filming and world-class audio mixing, and a multi-dimensional experience that redefines how audiences connect with jazz. Jazz in the City<\/em> brings together Grammy Award-winning guitarist Norman Brown, acclaimed guitarist Ron Bosse, and Denver\u2019s own celebrated saxophonists Paul Taylor and Tony Exum Jr. for a landmark event in contemporary jazz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Reimagines Jazz for Today<\/strong> \u2013 Each concert is captured by a world-class production team<\/strong> with state-of-the-art multi-camera filming, world-class audio mixing, and professional editing<\/strong>.     RON BOSSE<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

    Boston-based guitarist and composer Ron Bosse has performed and recorded with numerous jazz legends throughout the United States and Canada, including Dave Liebman, Bob Mintzer, and George Garzone<\/strong>. He’s received critical acclaim for his work in publications like Jazz Times, Downbeat, and the New York Times<\/strong>. His collaborations extend to fellow artists like Grammy-winning guitarist Norman Brown<\/strong>, with whom he released a series of duet performances and instructional videos in 2017. Beyond performing, Bosse is also a dedicated educator and entrepreneur, launching his online music instruction platform, Bosse Online<\/strong>, in 2019. In 2020, he began working with Grammy winner Jeff Lorber<\/strong> on his solo album, “Burning Room Only<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    TONY EXUM JR.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

    Saxophonist Tony Exum Jr.<\/strong> has made a significant impact on the contemporary jazz, R&B, and funk scenes with his soulful sound. His rise to prominence was fueled by the 2019 single “My Name’s Tony<\/strong>,” which charted for 12 weeks on the Smooth Jazz Network. Tony has graced the stage at major festivals like the San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival<\/strong> and the Berks Jazz Festival<\/strong>, sharing performances with notable artists such as Najee<\/strong> and Adam Hawley<\/strong>. In addition to his two acclaimed albums, “Finally<\/strong>” and “The One<\/strong>,” his 2022 single “Everything<\/strong>” reached #19 on the Urban Influencer R&B Soul Chart, while his 2023 release, “Hold My Hand<\/strong>,” topped the Urban Influencer Smooth Jazz Chart. Beyond performing and recording, Tony hosts a radio show on Jazz 93.5 FM<\/strong>, and in 2024, he was featured on the track “I Wanna Be Closer<\/strong>,” which earned an Indie Soul Awards nomination<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    NORMAN BROWN<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

    Grammy-winning guitarist and multi-platinum artist Norman Brown<\/strong> has been captivating international audiences for over four decades with his soulful, virtuosic playing. Praised by the legendary George Benson<\/strong> as “one of the greatest and most articulate guitarists out there,” Brown has collaborated with a who’s who of musicians, including Dave Koz, Jeff Lorber, and Kirk Whalum<\/strong>. His discography includes classic albums like the Grammy-winning “Just Chillin’<\/strong>” and the Soul Train award-winning “After The Storm<\/strong>.” In addition to his solo work, he is also a member of the supergroup BWB<\/strong> alongside Kirk Whalum<\/strong> and Rick Braun<\/strong>. A prolific and spiritual artist, Brown’s latest album, “It Hits Different<\/strong>,” released in 2024, showcases his signature blend of jazz, R&B, funk, and pop, with standout tracks like “Anything<\/strong>” and “Ausur<\/strong>.” Brown’s music is deeply connected to his philosophy of “balance” and his commitment to using his artistry to bring people together.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    PAUL TAYLOR<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

    A Denver native and accomplished saxophonist, Paul Taylor<\/strong> has had an impressive career, marked by multiple Billboard #1 hits<\/strong> and collaborations with a wide range of artists, including Regina Belle<\/strong>, Peabo Bryson<\/strong>, and Keiko Matsui<\/strong>. His passion for the saxophone began in childhood, where he was heavily influenced by jazz legends like Grover Washington Jr.<\/strong> His dedication is showcased on his 13th album, “It’s A Brand New Day<\/strong>,” which he co-wrote with long-time musical collaborator Dino Esposito<\/strong>. The album features ten tracks, including nine originals and a captivating cover of Billie Eilish’s “Chihiro,”<\/strong> and reflects Taylor’s commitment to giving his fans an optimistic and joyful listening experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
